Correct use of speed difference automatic controller (high altitude fall arrester)

Step 1: Check the appearance.

Firstly, the visual inspection is carried out, and the label, rope connection, shell, wire rope and swivel hook of the speed difference automatic controller are inspected respectively. If there are defects such as damaged or missing accessories, knotted wire rope, etc., please stop using this product and check whether the fall indicator is normal. If the fall indicator falls off or deforms, please stop using the product. Afterwards, the functionality of the speed difference automatic controller is checked: firstly, the retracting performance of the safety rope is checked, and the safety rope can be pulled out slowly and uniformly, and can be retracted slowly and uniformly, which means that the performance is normal; Second, check the locking performance and pull the safety rope hard. If the safety rope is locked immediately and can be automatically recovered into the device, it means that the locking is normal. Repeat this operation for 2-3 times.

Step 2, hang the safety hook on the rotating body, so that the hanging rope forms a closed loop. Hang the traction rope as shown. (The speed difference automatic controller over 10m will be matched with a traction rope to slowly retract the safety rope into the device). Then hang the hanging rope of the speed difference automatic controller to the hanging point of the job site and lock it. Then, with the assistance of another worker, connect the swivel hook of the speed difference automatic controller with the D-ring on the back of the seat belt worn by the operator. When the speed difference automatic controller is connected, be sure to check whether the hanging rope and the swivel hook are firmly connected and locked, and whether the safety rope is smooth and untwisted. Later, during the operation, the safety rope of the speed difference automatic controller will automatically expand and contract with the movement of the operator.

Tips: The use of speed difference automatic controller should follow the principle of high hanging and low use, and always keep the speed difference automatic controller above the operator.

Step 3, remove it correctly.

First, with the assistance of another staff member, take off the swivel hook of the speed difference automatic controller, and then hold the traction rope to slowly and uniformly retract the safety rope into the device. Don't suddenly let go and let the safety rope retract quickly, so as to avoid being stuck or unable to be recovered. Then, put the speed difference automatic controller in a box or hang it on a bracket, and store it in a cool and dry place for next use.
